astralum tim gregor

​Tim Gregor

Partner

Mr. Gregor is Astralum's senior partner and leads the firm's diligence and strategy practices. Prior to co-founding Astralum, Mr. Gregor was a Senior Managing Director and Partner at CSP Associates, Inc., an aerospace and defense advisory firm. Over his 19 years at CSP, he led or supported more than 450 commercial diligences and roughly 50 growth strategy engagements, including some of the largest A&D transactions in the U.S., the UK, and Europe. Mr. Gregor began his career as an analyst with the U.S. Government focused on arms production and proliferation. He holds a M.A. in National Security Studies and B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Josh Heacock

Partner

Mr. Heacock heads the firm’s Defense and Government Services practice, providing transaction due diligence and M&A strategy for financial sponsors and strategic buyers. Prior to co-founding Astralum, Mr. Heacock worked for CSP Associates, Inc., completing over 125 engagements as the firm’s lead Defense and Government Services analyst. Josh started his private sector career with HSBC Global Markets and Banking in New York. Previously, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, leading maintenance operations for the B-2 “Spirit” Stealth Bomber. Mr. Heacock holds an MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School and graduated with Academic Distinction from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

astralum mayur manmohansingh

Mayur Manmohansingh, CFA

Partner

Mr. Manmohansingh oversees the firm’s Commercial Aerospace practice and also leads Military and Business Aviation engagements. Prior to co-founding Astralum, Mr. Manmohansingh was a Managing Director at CSP Associates, Inc. where, during his 9 years, he led or supported over 100 engagements. Previously, he spent 5 years at Barclays Capital in the Global Aerospace & Defense Equity Research team covering over 25 companies in the U.S. and European markets. He was also an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP (New York). Mr. Manmohansingh holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and received his BCom. from McGill University.  He is a CFA Charterholder and is a CPA (not in public practice).

Mark Petros

Partner

Mr. Petros leads Astralum’s Business Aviation and Energy practices and is a subject matter expert across the commercial aero-engine supply-chain. Prior to co-founding Astralum, Mr. Petros worked for CSP Associates, Inc. where he led and supported over 120 strategic and transaction advisory engagements. Mr. Petros has also led numerous projects in the industrial gas turbine and nuclear energy markets, including transactions in the commercial utility and DoE Environmental Management sub-segments. Prior to joining CSP, Mr. Petros was an Associate at a diversified Boston-based investment firm focusing on Private Equity firm and alternative asset investment across numerous industries. Mr. Petros holds a B.S. in Economics from Amherst College.

Joey Cresta

Director of Research

Mr. Cresta is Astralum's Director of Research, a role that cuts across all engagements and directly supports project teams by providing timely and relevant data to support their analysis. He advises Astralum's engagement managers on research sources, helps to identify and analyze data, and manages vendor relationships to ensure Astralum's access to the premier data sources relevant to its markets. Prior to Astralum, he was the Director of Research at CSP Associates. Previously, he worked in competitive intelligence at Technology Business Research, Inc., focused on analysis of leading prime federal government IT and professional services contractors. He received his B.A. with majors in English and Anthropology from Bowdoin College and spent five years as a newspaper investigative reporter.​

Gina Panaggio

Director of Operations

As the Director of Operations, Ms. Panaggio is responsible for all aspects of Astralum’s administrative, human resources, finance and accounting, and IT efforts. She assists the Partners in the development and execution of the overall strategic plan for Astralum and serves as the subject matter expert on all operational management and administrative-related issues. Prior to Joining Astralum, Ms. Panaggio was the Director of Operations at CSP Associates for 13 years. She studied Communications with a concentration in Journalism at DePaul University.

John Huffman

Director

Mr. Huffman supports transaction and strategic advisory projects in the commercial and military aerospace, business aviation, and energy markets. Prior to joining Astralum, Mr. Huffman was a Senior Associate at CSP Associates, Inc. and worked as an associate at Galt and Co., a consulting firm focused on maximizing shareholder value for Fortune 50 clients. Previously, Mr. Huffman held roles in corporate strategy, business development, and finance at United Technologies and its subsidiary UTC Aerospace. Mr. Huffman holds an M.S. in Finance from Georgetown University and a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of San Diego.​

Gabriel Surratt

Senior Associate

Mr. Surratt supports Astralum’s diligence and strategy advisory engagements in the defense and government services sectors. Previously, Gabe worked as a Senior Associate at CSP Associates, Inc., as a policy aide in Congress, as a software engineer at a defense prime and as a military officer with special operations in the Middle East. He earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Scott Schonberger

Senior Associate

Mr. Schonberger supports transaction and strategic advisory projects in the commercial and military aerospace, business aviation, and energy markets. Prior to joining Astralum, Mr. Schonberger was Head of Operations for Vidarr, Inc., a small defense contractor based in Portsmouth, NH. Previously, Mr. Schonberger was the Head of Strategy for Poly6 Technologies, an aerospace-focused additive manufacturing company that was acquired in 2019. Mr. Schonberger holds MPP and MBA degrees from Georgetown University and a B.A. from Connecticut College.

Asa Greenaway

Analyst

Mr. Greenaway supports diligence and strategic advisory projects in the commercial and military aerospace, government services, and energy markets. Prior to joining Astralum, Mr. Greenaway worked as a Summer Associate for KPMG in their Deal Advisory Practice. He earned a B.A. in Finance and Accounting with Honors from Lehigh University while serving on the executive board of the Beta Alpha Psi academic fraternity and competing on the varsity swim team.

Peter Malone

Senior Counselor

Dr. Malone is a Senior Counselor to Astralum where he provides strategic guidance in support of the firm’s growth and organizational development. Dr. Malone is also an Operating Executive of The Carlyle Group and he currently serves on the boards of Novetta, Inc. and Dynamic Precision Group, and on the Advisory boards of Titan Holdings, Inc. and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Between 1985 and 2013, Dr. Malone served as Senior Managing Director of CSP Associates, Inc., a firm he co-founded. Prior to CSP, Dr. Malone practiced corporate and international law with Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale). He has also served as a Consultant to the Rand Corporation and a Research Fellow at Harvard’s Center for Science and International Affairs (now the Belfer Center).

Dr. Malone holds a JD from Harvard Law School, a PhD from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts. He is also the author of The British Nuclear Deterrent (New York: St. Martin’s Press, 1984).
